MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Performs calibrations of Test, Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) as part of the daily activities of the Calibration Laboratory
• Assists Technician, Calibration in performing minor repair and calibration service support to customers test equipment.
• Validates compliance to Metrological Traceability of the International System of Units (SI) for laboratory equipment
• Performs periodic Preventive Maintenance and Intermediate Checking on Al TAIF reference standards and equipment in order to optimize uptime.
• Checks and Verifies correctness of data results of each Calibration Report in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and Accreditation Body Requirements.
• Validates personnel-developed Uncertainty Computation spreadsheet as well as formulate Uncertainty Measurement Computations based on ISO-GUM
• Implement and adheres to approved Technical Manuals, Laboratory Procedure and Work Instructions
• Assist and Conducts consumable, tools and equipment inventory within the Calibration Laboratory
• Provides assistance to personnel who may need technical assistance within the capabilities of the Calibration Laboratory
• Participates and Performs in interlaboratory comparison, intralaboratory comparison and/or quality checks to ensure the quality of the calibration activities
• Assist on the formulation and oversee Implementations of Corrective and Preventive Actions regarding Internal and External Audit Non-conformances
• Ensures that all documentations and technical records including uncertainty measurement computations are up-to-date for use and is readily accessed by all members of the Calibration Laboratory.
• Promote and adhere to the regulations of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard and Accreditation Body Requirements for an Accredited Calibration Laboratory
• Understand the management-approved Risk Framework and actively participate in the Risk Management Program.
• Identify and report potential risks related to calibration process while performing TMDE calibration and other associated activities.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

 

• High school diploma is required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred; in Engineering would be an advantage.
• A minimum of five years of experience working in calibration or handling calibration activities is required.
• The ability to conduct and formulate Uncertainty measurement computations is required
• Knowledge on the ISO/IEC 17025 standard is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office software is required, proficient in Excel is required
• An ability to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally is required.
• A minimum of two years in a supervisory position in a Calibration Laboratory environment is preferred
