Job Description

Provide CAD support and coordination for ports and maritime projects and Ensure compliance

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

• Prepare design drawings and specifications for ports and maritime programmes and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Maintain an updated database of CAD drawings and their revisions in relation to AD Ports Group projects and contracts.
• Support to solve technical issues that might raise related to CAD tools and software.
• Monitor and ensure compliance to AD Ports CAD standards, including managing and reviewing incoming CAD drawings/designs from ports and maritime consultants and contractors against AD Ports and other relevant authorities’ standards.
• Provide all infrastructure related as-built data compatible with GIS format as per authorities’ standards and specifications.
• Maintain a positive and collaborative relationship between ports and maritime project teams, supply chain and other stakeholders for the betterment of the AD Ports group.
• Identify future ports and maritime trends in the field of computer aided drawing improvements and enhancements to existing specifications, standards, methods, and solutions.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of departmental standards and procedures.
  
  

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Architectural Studies or a related field. Masters degree is a plus
• AutoCAD certification like Autodesk Certified Professional in AutoCAD for Design and Drafting, AutoCAD and Digital Manufacturing, etc..
• BIM certification preferred
• Excellent English. Arabic is an added advantage
• A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a similar role
