Job Description

The role of a Specialist in Accounting & Financial Reporting, designated as 27D25, is pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a keen understanding of financial reporting practices. The successful candidate will collaborate with various departments to compile, verify, and present financial data and reports. Additionally, the Specialist is expected to stay updated on changes in accounting standards and advise the management team on financial practices. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Assist in the preparation of budget forecasts and monitor expenditures.
  • Liaise with external auditors to ensure proper statutory reporting procedures are followed.
  • Review and reconcile general ledger accounts regularly to maintain financial accuracy.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes for multiple financial accounts.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide management with insights on financial performance.
  • Ensure adherence to tax regulations and compliance standards in all financial activities.
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions to ensure data integrity.
  • Provide technical support and advice on management accounting practices and procedures.
  • Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary financial documentation and information.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on financial status and present them to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in accounting and financial reporting roles.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in financial reporting tasks.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously under deadlines.
