Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and consistency.

  • Source high-quality ingredients, with a focus on authentic Indian spices and produce.
  • Manage kitchen budgets, minimizing waste while maximizing efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining top hygiene standards.
  • Experiment with new recipes, incorporating modern twists to traditional Indian cuisine.
  • Oversee inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing food wastage.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant management team to plan special events and promotions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring all equipment is in working order.
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery to guests.
  • Stay updated with culinary trends and industry developments, integrating them into operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef in Indian culinary settings.
  • Extensive knowledge of traditional Indian recipes, spices, and cooking techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Formal culinary training and a relevant degree or certification are advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise with all stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
