We are seeking a dynamic Sous Chef / Head Chef specializing in Indian cuisine to join our culinary team. Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee the preparation of a wide array of authentic Indian dishes.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest culinary standards and presentation.
  • Train, supervise, and mentor the culinary team to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Collaborate with management on menu planning and sourcing fresh ingredients.
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering and managing supply stock levels.
  • Develop new and innovative recipes to enhance the dining menu offerings.
  • Conduct regular kitchen staff meetings to discuss methods and service improvements.
  • Handle and resolve any kitchen operational issues promptly and effectively.
  • Manage food cost by implementing budgeting and portion control measures.
  • Respond promptly to customer feedback to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Ensure timely delivery of services by coordinating efficiently with the serving staff.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Head Chef in Indian cuisine is essential.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience in related culinary practices.
  • Exceptional understanding of Indian spices, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively under high-stress conditions and long hours if necessary.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to oversee kitchen staff.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for team and customer interaction.
  • Experience in budgeting, food pricing, and cost management techniques for operations.
