Job Description
As a Sous Chef specializing in Asian cuisine, you will play a vital role in the kitchen by assisting the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and overall kitchen operations. You will collaborate with the culinary team to ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes. This role requires strong culinary skills, creativity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and costing.
- Coordinate and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking.
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes.
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
- Implement and maintain food safety and hygiene standards.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay updated with culinary trends and techniques.
Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in Asian cuisine.
- Strong knowledge of ingredients and cooking techniques.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
