Job Description

The Software Sales Executive is a crucial role that focuses on driving the sales initiatives for software solutions and services. This position demands a well-rounded sales professional who possesses not only a profound understanding of software products but also the acumen to understand customer needs and position the company's products effectively. The Software Sales Executive will work closely with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure that sales efforts align with company strategy and customer requirements. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies, manage key accounts, and close large deals that contribute significantly to revenue growth.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed sales targets.
  • Identify potential clients and qualify leads through market research and outreach.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and present sales proposals to prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships and networks.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing with clients to finalize agreements.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and incorporate them into sales strategies.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand the customer base.
  • Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts to ensure long-term customer retention and satisfaction.
  • Continuously update CRM systems with client information and sales activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in software sales or a related industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales metrics and data.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
