Job Title: Software Engineer (.NET)

Job Location- Abu Dhabi

Job Description:

We are looking for a Software Engineer (.NET) – Contractor to develop, maintain, and optimize software solutions using Microsoft .NET technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, Python, PostgreSQL and cloud platforms (Azure preferred). The contractor will be responsible for full-stack development, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and software documentation. A versatile and results-driven BI Developer with strong skills in .NET, Java, SQL, and Power BI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining business intelligence solutions, integrating data sources, building dashboards, and supporting custom application development using modern programming frameworks.

Proficient In:

• .NET (C#, ASP.NET /Web API), Java
• SQL Server / Oracle / MySQL (Advanced SQL skills)
• Power BI (Desktop and Service)
  
  

• Develop, test, and maintain applications using .NET Core, C#, and ASP.NET, MVC, JAVA, bootstrap and HTML
• Implement and optimize REST APIs and SOAP APIs
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Visual Studio (VS) Studio, Crystal Reports
  
  

• Design, develop, and optimize SQL Server databases and PostgreSQL
• Write and optimize stored procedures, queries, and indexing strategies for better performance.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, Entity Framework, and SQL Reporting Services and SQL Server Integration Services like SSIS, SSRS
  
  

• Deploy and manage applications on Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
  
  

• Work with front-end frameworks like .Net, bootstrap, HTML, JAVA, React, Angular, or Blazor (optional but preferred).
• Ensure smooth integration between backend and frontend components.
  
  

• Debug and resolve issues related to performance, security, and scalability.
• Conduct unit testing and code reviews to ensure quality and stability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing applications.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  
  

• Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
• Experience with Azure or AWS data services
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in BI development and enterprise application development.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI based on business requirements.
• Create and manage ETL processes and data pipelines using SQL and related tools to ensure efficient data flow.
• Design, code, and maintain .NET (C#/ASP.NET) and Java-based applications that support data visualization and reporting needs.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data and reporting requirements.
• Write optimized and scalable SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models for analysis and reporting.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data through validation, testing, and quality checks.
• Adept in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements
• Proficient in making DAX queries in Power BI desktop
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs or middleware integrations to support cross-system data sharing.
• Provide production support for BI reports and applications, troubleshooting performance issues and resolving bugs.
• Document development processes, data definitions, and user guides.
  
  

• Develop technical documentation, including system design, API documentation, and deployment guides.
• Write Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for software deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  
  

• Implement security best practices in software development, including OAuth, JWT authentication, and data encryption.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 security standards and GDPR regulations where applicable.
  
  

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in software development with expertise in .NET technologies.
• Strong knowledge of C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, and SQL Server.
• Experience in Azure cloud services, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Blazor (preferred).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and API development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.
• Proficiency in Git version control and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
