Sling Maker Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Responsible to ensure that slings making is done as per plan and in accordance to the required specifications and quality requirement • Responsible to oversee the day to day operations and ensure no delay to operations and any issues are fully reviewed and managed • Ensure that necessary trainings of team members are conducted to maximize their potential • Responsible to keep management updated with all matters related to slings manufacturing • Shall propose methods resources requirements to enhance slings making process • After completion of sling making he shall be responsible for making the waybills and arranging for transporting them to the barge or vessel • Arrange for proper storage of all slings and preserved as required • Responsible to receive the slings after completion of work offshore and perform the condition check of the wire rope and maintain records of same • Responsible to Inspect slings regularly and to clean slings after and before use and arrange for proper storage • Ensure all works are performed to the highest standards of HSE and as per approved HSE procedure.

*Experience & Educational Qualification

Secondary School Certificate with a discipline-specific technical qualification, or equivalent Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas Industry

✔ 10years of experience in Offshore Oil & Gas, Marine Construction, or EPC Projects

✔ Proven experience in fabrication, inspection, testing, and certification of Wire Rope Slings, Grommets, Chain Slings, and Synthetic Slings

✔ Strong experience supporting Heavy Lift Operations, Jacket Installation, Topside Installation, Loadout & Sea Fastening Activities

✔ Sound knowledge of LEEA, LOLER, API RP 2D, IMCA, and Offshore Lifting Standards

✔ Experience in lifting gear inspection, proof load testing, certification, and sling load calculations

✔ Previous experience working on Offshore Construction Barges, Installation Vessels, or Fabrication Yards
