Job Description

The role of a Site Supervisor is pivotal in maintaining the efficiency and safety of construction sites. A Site Supervisor acts as the point of contact between the management and on-site activities, ensuring that all construction operations are conducted smoothly and according to plan. They oversee site safety, budgets, resources, and team coordination, playing a crucial role in sustaining productivity and quality control. This position demands excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure. A Site Supervisor must handle unexpected challenges with effectiveness and foster harmonious communication among various stakeholders involved in the construction project.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all construction activities are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Coordinate and manage on-site workers, subcontractors, and equipment use effectively.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections to foster a hazard-free work environment.
  • Act as the primary liaison between construction workers and project managers.
  • Interpret construction blueprints and ensure work aligns with project specifications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports of project progress.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction activities.
  • Oversee the delivery and distribution of construction materials and resources efficiently.
  • Conduct site assessments to ensure compliance with governmental and engineering standards.
  • Implement and uphold company policies, adhering to safety, quality, and ethical guidelines.
  • Train and mentor new site workers and ensure ongoing employee development.
  • Meet with stakeholders to provide progress updates and adjust plans as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a supervisory role on construction sites.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and digital collaboration tools.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and solve complex problems under pressure.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various construction sites as required.
