Job Description

As a Site Engineer – QA/QC, you will play a crucial role in the construction and engineering sector, ensuring that the quality assurance and quality control measures are maintained throughout all stages of the project. This position demands a keen eye for detail, superior knowledge of engineering principles, and exceptional communication skills to effectively collaborate with multiple departments. As a Site Engineer specializing in QA/QC at our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the quality management system for construction projects, ensuring compliance with both internal standards and external regulations. Your efforts will help oversee that all operations are both efficient and sustainable while ensuring the highest quality output.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive QA/QC procedures and protocols for construction projects.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to verify and ensure adherence to QA/QC plans.
  • Liaise with project managers and consultants to clarify specific requirements and standards.
  • Document and report any defects and deficiencies detected during inspections.
  • Conduct risk assessments and audits on-site to identify potential quality issues.
  • Coordinate with various teams to resolve any quality-related issues promptly.
  • Attend project meetings to provide updates on QA/QC status and actions points.
  • Review construction plans and specifications to become fully acquainted with requirements.
  • Ensure all materials and workmanship meet or exceed established standards.
  • Improve current QA/QC processes by implementing new and innovative practices.
  • Train new team members on the company's QA/QC procedures and protocols.
  • Prepare detailed reports on quality performance and present them to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in a QA/QC role within the construction industry.
  • Proven knowledge of construction processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
  • Proficient in the use of QA/QC software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certification in relevant ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
