Job Description

As a Shop Operations Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of daily operations in a retail store. Your primary focus will be on supporting the team, managing inventory, assisting customers, and implementing processes that enhance overall store productivity. You will work closely with shop managers and other team members to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for customers. This position requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. As the face of the store, the Shop Operations Assistant is an integral part of delivering an exceptional shopping experience that encourages customer loyalty and satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and organizing products.
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers courteously.
  • Support cashier duties by processing customer transactions quickly and accurately.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized store environment at all times.
  • Coordinate with different departments to ensure seamless shop operations daily.
  • Assist in setting up promotional displays and rotating merchandise as needed.
  • Track and report inventory discrepancies onto store management systems promptly.
  • Monitor and replenish stock levels of essential items to prevent shortages.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay updated on store policies.
  • Assist in receiving deliveries and managing the unloading and inventory process.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company regulations throughout the store.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred for this position.
  • Previous experience in a retail setting is highly advantageous for applicants.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills are critical qualifications.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficient in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and in a team.
