Job Description

The Service Engineer is a critical role within the engineering team, focused on providing top-notch technical support to our clients. This position is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of equipment and systems. A Service Engineer must have a strong understanding of the technical aspects of the company's products and will work closely with the research and development, and quality control teams to ensure the highest level of service. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to enhancing customer satisfaction through technical excellence. Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical and electronic systems for clients.
  • Conduct timely repairs and maintenance ensuring minimal downtime for end-users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product reliability and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and provide technical training to clients and internal team members.
  • Document service repairs, client interactions, and engineering changes thoroughly.
  • Attend client sites to assess and resolve technical issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Support the research and development team with insights from field experiences.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, technologies, and services.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure parts and tools are available for services.
  • Provide immediate technical support via phone, email, or live chat when required.
  • Analyze service reports to identify trends and suggest preventive measures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years experience in a similar service engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in relevant industries.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in using diagnostics equipment and software for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal teams effectively.
  • Willingness to travel extensively to meet clients and resolve technical issues.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
