Job Description

As a Service Advisor in the automotive industry, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to vehicle owners. Your primary role will involve communicating with customers to understand their vehicle maintenance or repair needs, providing accurate estimates for services, and scheduling appointments. You will also act as a liaison between customers and the service technicians, ensuring clear communication and customer satisfaction throughout the service process. Additionally, you will be responsible for explaining service recommendations, upselling additional services when appropriate, and ensuring all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of automotive maintenance and repair, and a passion for delivering top-notch customer service.


Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and assist them with scheduling service appointments for their vehicles.
  • Listen to customer concerns and accurately document issues with their vehicles.
  • Communicate with the service department to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs or maintenance.
  • Provide estimates for service and repair costs, obtain customer approval, and explain the work to be done.
  • Upsell additional services or products based on manufacturer recommendations and customer needs.
  • Keep customers informed of the status of their vehicles, including any delays or additional work needed.
  • Process payments for services rendered and explain detailed invoices to customers.
  • Maintain customer records and service history for future reference.
  • Address and resolve any customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge, industry trends, and service procedures to provide accurate information to customers.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in customer service or automotive industry preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of basic automotive terminology and services.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
