About The Role

The Server Engineer is responsible for server installation, system design, server maintenance, server monitoring, data backups, server/system security and documentation of the server/systems environment. They ensure stable operation of all business-critical applications, maintaining infrastructure and software integrity using industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and address potential bottlenecks and performance issues.
• Develop and maintain server backup and disaster recovery plans.
• Test and execute data recovery procedures in case of server failures or data loss.
• Maintain detailed documentation of server configurations, procedures, and changes.
• Generate and share reports on server performance, uptime, and incident resolution.
• Provide technical support and expertise to resolve server-related issues.
• Assist the HelpDesk and network staff in providing technical and desktop support for all users in times of high volume or escalated issues
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Monitor server resource utilization and plan for capacity scaling as needed.
• Proactively identify and address potential bottlenecks and performance issues.

To Be The Right Fit, Youll Need

• An education Degree in Computer Science or Telecommunication
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Proven skills in working with cloud technologies like AWS and Azure
• Proven skills and capability managing multiple sites.
• Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Proven skills on using automation tools (such as Ansible and Python) to simplify tasks.
• AWS or equivalent certification
• Linux certification
• Fluency in English and Arabic
