Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Transportation Planner to join our team! In this role you will help deliver transportation planning studies and support authority submissions in Abu Dhabi.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Conduct transportation planning studies including transportation master plans, transport impact studies, corridor studies, and related assessments.

• Perform operational analysis for intersections, road segments, and interchanges using tools such as SYNCHRO, VISSIM, and HCS; develop and evaluate mitigation measures.

• Support travel demand modelling activities and interpretation of outputs to inform recommendations.

• Apply highway design understanding to ensure practical, implementable planning solutions.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

• Minimum 6 years experience in transportation planning/traffic engineering, including traffic studies for developments.

• Strong report writing and presentation skills.

• Hands-on experience preparing transportation studies and submissions for Abu Dhabi ITC.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

• Expertise in travel demand modelling (e.g., CUBE) and operational analysis tools (e.g., SYNCHRO, HCS, SIDRA); microsimulation (e.g., VISSIM or Aimsun).

• Experience in public transport planning, non-motorized transport, and parking management.

• Master’s degree in transportation planning / traffic engineering.
