Job Purpose

The Senior Telecom Designer is responsible for executing telecom design and drafting activities across Oil & Gas projects (Offshore, Detail Engineering), ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements. The role requires strong expertise in 2D/3D design tools, multidisciplinary coordination, and delivery of high-quality engineering outputs within project schedule.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Execute telecom design and drafting activities for detail engineering projects (Offshore).
  • Prepare telecom system designs including LAN/WAN, CCTV, PA/GA, Access Control, Radio (TETRA/VHF/UHF), and Fiber Optic systems.
  • Develop 2D drawings including Telecom Block Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams, Telecom Location layouts, Telecom Room Equipment layouts, and cable routing Layouts, Fiber Optic Cable Core Allocation Diagram, Telecom Typical Installation Details using AutoCAD.
  • Perform 3D modeling using SP3D/E3D and participate in model reviews and clash resolution.
  • Provide input for Telecom MTOs, cable schedules.
  • Coordinate with Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Mechanical, and Project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC Standards and international standards (IEC, IEEE).
  • Participate in design reviews, 3D Model Reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC and HSE requirements and Worley values.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Diploma / Degree in Telecommunications or Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum 12 years in telecom design for Oil & Gas projects (FEED / EPC)

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of telecom systems (FOC, LAN/WAN, CCTV, PA/GA, ACS, Radio)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, SP3D or AVEVA tools
  • Familiarity with ADNOC and international standards

Competencies

  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary EPC teams
  • High attention to detail and quality focus
