Provide system engineering skills and knowledge by implementing a system engineering approach for Nuclear Steam Supply Systems (NSSS), Balance of Plant (BOP), Electrical, and Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems throughout the planning, execution and post close-out phases of system engineering activities on NSSS, BOP, Electrical, and I&C systems for the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) as per the regulatory requirements, operating policies and principles, nuclear standards for nuclear safety, industrial safety, and environmental protection, to ensure overall business performance objectives are achieved.

Responsibilities And Accountabilities:
Conduct system health and performance activities for assigned systems to improve plant system reliability and effectiveness.
Conduct system performance monitoring, system walk down, and system health evaluation to understand current system status and health.
Provide development of resolutions for long-term system issues to improve long term reliability.
Identify long-term investment items for the plant equipment to extend system life, improve or maintain system reliability.
Designate the preventive maintenance items and frequency to optimize reliability and maintenance costs.
Monitor the maintenance activities important to plant safety and reliability to verify that they are performed according to proper procedures
Conduct cause determination and corrective action for maintenance preventable functional failures (MPFFs) and monitor systems, structures or components (SSCs) required by Maintenance Rule (MR).
Provide support to the assigned system operations, maintenance and Engineering Rapid Response Team (ERRT), for:
Start-up testing (such as power ascension test) and performance test (PT) to identify any system engineering issues
Technical reviews on work orders important to safety and reliability to verify appropriate procedures are included and referenced.
Cause analysis for assigned equipment failure and identify trouble-shooting requirements to assist in developing repair and reliability improvement plans
Incoming operational experiences to identify relevant material.
Perform trouble-shooting on assigned systems to facilitate the understanding of the cause of the trouble.
Conduct assigned system note books for assigned systems to ensure their currency and accuracy.
Support the assigned design change and modifications to ensure consistency with system plans.
Support the management of assigned functional locations and Equipment master database to keep the databases current.
Conduct technical reviews on assigned procurement specifications to ensure useful and accurate specifications.
Conduct technical reviews on assigned plant equipment issues to provide a system perspective.
Provide oversight on assigned maintenance activities performed by contractors when necessary to ensure contractor work is consistent with system requirements.
Identify draft outage and T-week work scope to provide a starting point for Cycle Managers and Outage Planners.
Prepare for World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) peer reviews to ensure accurate and efficient communication.
Outage and Emergency Response Organization (ERO) Support
Responsibilities And Accountabilities:
Support outage and/or the emergency response organization, as assigned, to ensure safe, reliable and continued operations; this may require shift work/off hours support.
Staff Training and Qualification
Responsibilities And Accountabilities:
Participate in training to equip necessary technical knowledge and skills.
Provide training feedback on program effectiveness with evaluation of operator performance to enhance training and qualification program quality.

5 years of relevant experience, out of which:
1 year of Nuclear Power Plant engineering experience.

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering.
APR-1400 or OPR-1000 maintenance and engineering experience.
