The Senior Supervisor - Inventory & Warehouse is a critical role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of inventory management and warehouse activities. This position ensures the efficient and effective management of inventory, optimizing storage and distribution processes, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and productivity. The individual in this role collaborates closely with various departments to align inventory controls with company objectives, implementing strategies for improved inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency. The Senior Supervisor will serve as a key leader within the logistics team, providing guidance and training to staff, fostering an environment of continuous improvement, and implementing systems and processes that support the company’s growth and operational excellence.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and storage practices.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize accuracy and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and professional growth.
  • Monitor and analyze inventory levels to prevent overstocking and stockouts.
  • Ensures compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the warehouse environment.
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to enhance inventory tracking systems and reporting tools.
  • Conduct regular audits of inventory to ensure accuracy and accountability of stock levels.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers to optimize delivery schedules and costs.
  • Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop contingency plans to handle sudden supply chain disruptions effectively.
  • Align warehouse objectives with overall business strategies and customer service goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management and warehouse operations.
  • Proven track record of leadership and team management within a warehouse setting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Proficient in warehouse management systems and inventory software platforms.
  • Sound knowledge of safety regulations and best practices within warehouse environments.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative solutions for operational challenges.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of inventory financing, costing, and budgeting processes.
