Job Description

As a Senior Storekeeper, you will play a critical role in managing the logistics and inventory operations of our store. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels, overseeing the receipt and storage of goods, and ensuring that all inventory records are accurate and up to date. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth functioning of store operations by preventing any disruptions caused by inventory issues. With your advanced organizational skills and keen attention to detail, you will lead a team of storekeepers, guiding them towards efficiency and optimal productivity. Your ability to foresee and solve problems will be crucial in ensuring that our store operations run seamlessly, meeting the necessary demands for both internal and external stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the store inventory system.
  • Ensure all incoming and outgoing shipments are processed accurately and timely.
  • Supervise a team of storekeepers and provide necessary training and guidance.
  • Maintain organized and efficient inventory storage to optimize space and accessibility.
  • Perform regular audits and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Address and resolve any discrepancies in inventory records promptly and effectively.
  • Develop and implement efficient inventory procedures that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors to coordinate order deliveries and returns.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and store policies at all times.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet their material and inventory needs.
  • Prepare and present inventory reports for management review and analysis.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to improve inventory practices.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a storekeeper, with at least two years in a senior role.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions based on job knowledge.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in varying environmental conditions.
