To lead review of Transportation planning submissions of ADPorts customers in line with approved master plans and development guidelines and approved building codes.
To participate in the formulation of Transportation plans and policies to guide the physical development of ABU DHABI PORTS’s land in line with the Company’s expressed goals and objectives and the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s regulations.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities:
Lead the transportation planning review process for Abu Dhabi Ports customers.
Coordinate with other disciplines involved in the development review process.
Suggest modifications to the process as required.
Lead the preparation of development proposals for Abu Dhabi Ports projects.
Participate in monitoring plan compliance and provide technical support during plan implementation
Provide the necessary guidance to promote safe, sustainable, and attractive developments
Participate in preparing development and design guidelines, codes, and other rules or regulations as required
Coordinate or support the preparation and periodic update of other transportation documents as required (e.g. parking codes …).
Carry out any other activity identified to support the department.
Enhance the culture of development services and approvals awareness across AD Ports Group Clusters, Business Units and Subsidiaries etc.
People Management Responsibilities:
Implement effective performance evaluation mechanisms that measure key performance indicators, foster continuous improvement, and enhance productivity.
Identify skill gaps and training requirements for the teams to ensure consistent high performance.
Develop a strong leadership framework within the team to encourage professional advancement and leadership skills among team members through mentoring and leadership training programs.
Strategic Responsibilities:
Act as a strategic advisor to the leadership team on Development Services and approvals best practices and trends.
Review and endorse the Division’s strategy.
Foster a forward-thinking approach that anticipates future trends and prepares the department to adapt to technological advancements and market changes.
Enhance communication and collaboration with key stakeholders to align Developers’ Services Hub strategies with broader organizational goals. Ensure that the AD Ports Group HSE, Sustainability, Business Continuity & Security Regulations & Compliance requirements are adhered to.
Contribute to development and land management policies and procedures including building permits.
Manage in-house project teams and external consultants to carry out tasks
Qualifications
Educational and Technical Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering – Transport or Transportation Planning. Masters degree is a plus
EFQM Certified Assessor (Preferred)
Language Skills:
Excellent English and Arabic
Years of Experience:
A minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role
Nature of Experience:
Experience in Transportation Permits -related functions, Quality, Health and Safety, Environment, Business Continuity Management aspects.
In-depth knowledge of industry standards
Ability to understand strategic issues and hold an overall perspective of the organization.
Detail oriented and organized, with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performance teams.
Should have excellent technical aptitude and superior project and people management skills.
Ability to handle customers with care to deliver results.
