Senior Specialist - Survey And GIS

Job Description

Manage and complete land acquisition & handover to investors via carrying out pre-allocation site survey, site inspection, boundary demarcation, and handing over of the land to the customer in accordance to approved site plan and standards. This including investors in the industrial, commercial, Sdeira worker cities, in addition to public & utility lands. Supervising the performing of site topographic to portray land shape and to cadastral surveys to improve accuracy of land measurements and maintain up-to-date land data bank, and to support planning of new projects. Plan and build-up geodetic control network reference necessary for completing the investors’ projects and for construction of infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Build accurate geodetic control reference network, tied up to DMA network, necessary for planning and implementation of projects.
• Complete site visits for developers and investors to discover industrial cities and to see lands proposed to them.
• Demarcate & stake-out land property limits for purpose of handing over to tenants, and to complete handing over process and issue demarcation certificate and site plan.
• Developing systems and facilitating operational procedures to achieve continuous improvement of cadastral services.
• Supervise and coordinate efforts of the survey team individuals of the out-source survey contractor for Abu Dhabi Ports (two contractors). In addition to control and receive & approve related payment claims.
• Administer land property of Abu Dhabi Ports Group in an efficient way that ensures accurate measurements in the land bank and through efficient delivery of services that meets investors’ satisfaction
• Develop and promote workflow of processes, procedures, guidelines and forms in order to stimulate best business practices and standards
• Maintain accurate measurements for parcel boundaries and up-to-date database for Land bank, while ensuring smooth and timely handing over of land to tenants.
• Provide technical support to divisions and clusters including the Ports, Emirates Sdeira Real Estate Investment Group, and Engineering & Technical Services.
  
  

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

• BSc. or PE in Surveying or equivalent, as minimum.
• 7 years of experience in the surveying field.
• Work experience in at least of the Municipalities, Town Planning, dedicated surveying firms, Consulting and Contracting engineering companies in the different land surveying branches.
  
  

Skills

• Ability to work as a one-person crew utilizing state-of-the-art survey instruments such as Total Stations and GPS.
• Good knowledge and experience in processing survey data collected from the field and doing necessary transformation using suitable software.
• Good skills in using AutoCAD drafting software, knowledge of AutoCAD Map 3D and GIS software will be an advantage.
