Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Plan, coordinate, and execute all Process Engineering activities for the successful delivery of the TA’ZIZ strategic projects portfolio. This role covers both national and international projects executed in cooperation with Joint Venture partners. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that process engineering activities—from feasibility studies through early design, Pre-FEED, FEED, and EPC tender phases—adhere to ADNOC standards and drive optimal project feasibility and return on investment. Timely and accurate reporting on project status, risks, and performance metrics is a key responsibility, supporting high-level technical and commercial decision-making.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Planning

  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to assist in the resolution of issues related to project and PMC agreements
  • Gather and consolidate reports on claims, variation orders, and compliance (HSE, approved budget, schedule, scope, quality) across all project stages
  • Review and provide feedback on these reports to the SVP, ensuring information is accurate and meets reporting requirements
  • Support the monitoring of project expenditures and assist in reviewing invoices, back charges, and related financial documentation
  • Assist in delivering all FID requirements in line with ADNOC/TA’ZIZ governance frameworks
  • Follow up on obtaining project organization endorsements from VPs and securing SVP approvals to support resource deployment
  • Contribute to the development of the department’s annual business plan and budget by preparing necessary inputs and data
  • Assist in cascading Corporate and Divisional Balance Scorecard KPIs and support the implementation of the Company Performance Management System for the team
  • Support the development and implementation of departmental policies, processes, systems, standards, and internal controls in accordance with business guidelines and ADNOC/TA’ZIZ requirements
  • Help align divisional documents such as technical, HSE, project management, and contract management guidelines
  • Act as a key point of contact for gathering and organizing inputs from multiple stakeholders to support the preparation of critical project management reports (e.g., ADNOC ExCom submissions, Weekly Highlights to CEO, TA’ZIZ Scorecard updates)
  • Assist in coordinating internal communications with ADNOC management, ensuring that strategic objectives and progress updates are effectively cascaded
  • Support the organization and coordination of regular project meetings, including DSPSC sessions and other committee meetings
  • Prepare meeting documentation (e.g., minutes, resolutions) and follow up on action items to ensure effective communication across teams
  • Participate in site visits and reviews, gathering information to update progress, risks, and performance metrics
  • Assist in ad hoc reviews/assessments of project financials (including analysis of historic and projected cash flows, IRR, and NPV) to support decision-making processes
  • Support the implementation and oversight of Project MOC, risk management, integrated program schedules, project cost reporting, and budget/EFC monitoring
  • Contribute to the refinement of long-term strategic plans and support the operationalization of JV companies by providing required documentation and coordination assistance

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required; a Master’s degree or advanced certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP) is highly preferred

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • 7 to 9 years’ relevant experience in program or project integration, preferably within large-scale capital projects in the oil & gas, petrochemical, or related industries
  • In-depth understanding of program integration methodologies, interface management, and project lifecycle processes (from feasibility to execution)
  • Strong knowledge of project management frameworks and integration tools used to align multiple project streams with strategic objectives
  • Familiarity with risk management practices, quality assurance/control processes, and industry standards relevant to program integration
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and integrate complex project data into cohesive, actionable plans
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and senior management
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, maintain detailed documentation, and facilitate smooth information flow between various project disciplines

  • Frequent business travels within Abu Dhabi and overseas and occasional site visits as and when needed
  • Mostly air-conditioned environment. Exposed to prevailing environmental conditions during plant visit; may be required to use protective safety clothing or gear while visiting plants
