What you will do:

  • Support the Head of the Art Collection Department in the development and management of the collection.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including galleries, artists, museums, cultural institutions, and both governmental and non-governmental entities.
  • Coordinate and manage logistics for artwork acquisitions, loans, and exhibitions.
  • Lead outreach efforts to identify potential artists, opportunities for commissioned artworks, and collaborations with international and local galleries.
  • Assist in researching and evaluating artworks for inclusion in the collection, ensuring alignment with Mubadala’s cultural and corporate objectives.
  • Provide logistical support for installation, deinstallation, and transportation of artwork.
  • Collaborate with procurement and legal teams to ensure compliance with all legal, contractual, and financial aspects of artwork acquisition, including pricing, intellectual property rights, and exhibition terms.
  • Oversees day-to-day collection operations and logistics, ensuring that all artworks are well-maintained, properly displayed, and easily accessible for exhibitions or corporate installations.
  • Oversees documentation, inventory management, loans, and conservation efforts to ensure the collection is properly tracked, artworks are well-preserved, and all legal and financial aspects are documented.
  • Maintains comprehensive records of each artwork, including provenance, legal documentation, and exhibition history, ensuring proper tracking of all movements, acquisitions, and conservation activities.
  • Manages art collection databases, digital records, and archives to ensure that all artwork details are accurately stored and easily accessible. Ensure that all relevant data is up-to-date and in compliance with industry standards.
  • Ensures organized digital archives, image libraries, and online resources are maintained, allowing for easy retrieval and sharing of artwork information internally and externally.
  • Oversees the art budget, including financial planning and management of expenses, ensuring that budgets for acquisitions, conservation, and art-related projects are allocated effectively and efficiently.
  • Manage the conservation and restoration of artworks in collaboration with external experts and institutions to ensure the preservation and longevity of the collection.
  • Facilitate engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including educational programs, workshops, and public outreach initiatives to enhance the collection’s visibility and impact.
  • Enhance cultural engagement by developing and promoting initiatives that connect the collection with both the internal Mubadala community and the broader external community, fostering dialogue around art, culture, and the company’s values.

What will you bring:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in museum management
  • Background in Art and/or Art History or relevant field
  • Hands-on experience in acquisitions, expense management, and budget oversight
  • Curatorial experience, including exhibition planning and content development
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills
  • Excellent writing abilities
