About The Role

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth through the development and execution of sales strategies, management of the end-to-end sales cycle, and expansion of Alef Education's customer base. The role is accountable for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strategic customer relationships, managing sales pipelines, and achieving revenue targets. The Senior Sales Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless customer experience from initial engagement through implementation and ongoing account growth.

The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen, relationship management capabilities, and a deep understanding of educational technology solutions to position Alef as a trusted partner for customers across the education sector.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute sales strategies that support Alef's commercial objectives and growth ambitions
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target markets and customer segments
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to achieve and exceed revenue targets
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth
  • Contribute to annual sales planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities


Business Development

  • Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, industry events, partnerships, digital channels, and direct outreach
  • Conduct market research to identify new customers, sectors, and expansion opportunities
  • Develop compelling value propositions aligned to customer challenges and strategic priorities
  • Build strategic relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders


Sales Cycle Management

  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting and qualification through proposal, negotiation, contract execution, and handover
  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations and presentations tailored to customer requirements
  • Prepare commercial proposals, business cases, and tender responses
  • Lead commercial negotiations while ensuring alignment with company objectives and governance requirements
  • Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and pipeline reporting within CRM systems


Account Management & Customer Success

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to support long-term retention and growth
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and account expansion
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, understanding their business objectives and educational priorities
  • Support customer success initiatives by collaborating with implementation, training, and support teams


Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Product, Customer Success, PMO, Training, Marketing, and Technology teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to define pilots, proof-of-concepts, implementation plans, and commercial models
  • Provide market feedback and customer insights to support product development and continuous improvement


Reporting & Performance Management

  • Track and report on sales performance against agreed KPIs and targets
  • Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility
  • Produce regular management reports and commercial updates
  • Drive continuous improvement of sales processes, tools, and methodologies
  • Set, monitor and share performance data and dashboards


To Be The Right Fit, You'll Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Education, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline
  • Postgraduate qualification or professional sales certification is desirable
  • MBA or advanced degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years experience in sales, business development, account management, or commercial roles
  • Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding revenue targets
  • Experience within Education, EdTech, SaaS, Technology, or Digital Solutions environments preferred
  • Proven ability to build and maintain senior stakeholder relationships
  • Experience working with public sector and education customers is advantageous
  • Regional networks and relationships and ability to navigate complex external stakeholder environments
  • Experience working with CSR and funding agents locally and internationally
  • Native Arabic communication skills (reading, writing, verbal)
  • Exceptional English communication skills (reading, writing, verbal, presentation)
