Job Description

The Senior Purchase Executive plays a critical role in the procurement department, managing a team's operations and ensuring the seamless acquisition of goods and services necessary for organizational success. This position involves the development and execution of purchasing strategies, negotiation with suppliers to secure advantageous terms, and maintaining relationships to ensure ongoing supply and cost efficiency. Additionally, the role requires the Senior Purchase Executive to evaluate market trends and collaborate with company leadership to align purchasing goals with broader business objectives. As a Senior Purchase Executive, you will be expected to spearhead the procurement function, optimize purchasing operations, and enhance vendor performance to drive the organization forward efficiently and effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies for goods and services.
  • Negotiate favorable contracts and terms with key suppliers and vendors.
  • Maintain and foster robust relationships with suppliers to ensure continuity.
  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with company goals.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Supervise and mentor the purchasing team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Collaborate with finance to manage budget and assess financial metrics.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and perform risk assessments regularly.
  • Oversee procurement data management, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
  • Lead initiatives for process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.
  • Participate in supplier audits and manage the resolution of critical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 5–7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage teams effectively.
  • Proficient in procurement software and tools to manage purchasing processes.
  • Thorough understanding of supply chain management practices and market dynamics.
