Job Summary

The Senior Project Engineer at Halcon leads high‑scale, complex, and interconnected projects of the organization to achieve larger, long‑term business objectives. The job incumbent takes ownership of and drives the allocated projects with strong attention to strategy, implementation, and delegation from concept to successful completion, ensuring projects achieve strategic and operational needs of the organization in terms of budget, quality, and delivery targets.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the Programme Manager in applying best practice programme and project management processes, tools, and standards across assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with System Engineering and design teams to develop core engineering governance documents, including the SEMP, TEMP, QAP, and CMP.
  • Lead project planning and execution by defining scope, deliverables, milestones, resources, budgets, and schedules, ensuring alignment with business and stakeholder requirements.
  • Ensure all project outputs meet contractual, technical, and quality standards throughout the full lifecycle.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, implement mitigation actions, and maintain delivery performance against schedule and budget.
  • Manage project budgets and funding channels, tracking expenditures and realized benefits to ensure financial discipline.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication plans to ensure timely, accurate stakeholder engagement and reporting to executive and project management bodies.
  • Drive structured problem solving, resource optimization, and issue resolution to maintain project momentum and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular project reviews, audits, and health checks to ensure compliance, quality, and governance.
  • Implement change management actions and maintain project management policies, guidelines, and supporting documentation.
  • Recommend and execute continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, tools, and delivery quality.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and technical support to junior team members, contributing to departmental knowledge sharing.
  • Execute technical activities such as simulation, harness and connector design reviews, electronic procurement support, trade studies, and lab or hardware testing.
  • Support flight testing activities, including pre flight preparation, flight execution, and post flight analysis.Develop and maintain engineering design and analysis tools,
  • Create technical documentation such as manuals, qualification documents, and specifications.

Experience & Education Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8+ years managing technical development projects.
  • Project Management certification with proven use of PM tools and methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of safety‑critical development and electronic systems processes.
  • Advanced budgeting, resource allocation, governance, and financial management capability.
  • Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and financial database tools.
