Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Demonstrates strong safety leadership for offshore detailed engineering activities in compliance with Worley HSE requirements.
  • Ensures application of Safety by Design, Constructability, Operability, and Maintainability principles for offshore facilities including wellhead platforms and topsides.
  • Participates and contributes to HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, and COM workshops related to offshore scope.
  • Identifies offshore specific engineering risks (marine interfaces, lifting operations, offshore access, brownfield tie ins) and supports mitigation actions during detailed engineering.
  • Promotes safe engineering practices across disciplines, offices, and contractor interfaces.

Leadership & Project Execution

  • Provides engineering leadership for allocated offshore detailed engineering packages or scopes.
  • Supports definition of project team structure and leads assigned discipline engineers and work packages.
  • Coordinates multi discipline and multi location teams, including offshore execution centers.
  • Drives achievement of scope, schedule, quality, and productivity targets for assigned scope.
  • Supports capability development of engineers through technical guidance and review.
  • Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders and supports client interactions when required.
  • Leads multi‑discipline, multi‑location teams, including onshore and offshore execution centers.
  • Manages communication between various execution centers to address the gaps and maintaining a healthy relationship between the offices.
  • Sets and drives achievement of project objectives covering scope, schedule, quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Mentors discipline leads senior engineers, addressing capability gaps and performance issues proactively.
  • Leads internal and external communications, influencing decisions at client, project, and corporate levels.
  • Support procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities
  • Must possess sufficient knowledge on procurement Engineering and its work processes.
  • Must Possess capability to manage Vendor related interface issues of various disciplines

Technical Expertise & Offshore Engineering

  • Acts as a senior technical focal point for offshore detailed engineering execution within assigned scope.
  • Ensures application of Worley engineering processes, tools, and systems in offshore projects.
  • Oversees engineering development for offshore wellhead platforms, topsides, and associated systems within assigned responsibility.
  • Ensures designs comply with Customer Basis of Design, ADNOC Offshore standards, and applicable international codes.
  • Demonstrates solid understanding of EPC / PMC offshore delivery workflows and interface management.
  • Reviews vendor documents, technical bids, and supports integration with offshore construction requirements.
  • Provides engineering support to offshore construction, hook up, and commissioning as required.

Commercial & Financial Awareness

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of customer contracts and ADNOC commercial frameworks.
  • Tracks engineering deliverables, quantities, and productivity for assigned offshore scope.
  • Understands offshore cost elements and supports cost control activities.
  • Assesses cost and schedule impacts arising from engineering changes.
  • Supports effective implementation of change management and variation processes.
  • Ensures robust change management and variation control processes are applied during detailed engineering.

Execution Planning & Performance

  • Translates contract requirements into executable offshore detailed engineering deliverables for assigned scope.
  • Supports development and maintenance of engineering schedules and resource plans.
  • Monitors progress, identifies deviations, and implements corrective actions.
  • Coordinates workshare execution across multiple offices.
  • Reviews Project Control inputs and escalates offshore execution risks as required.
  • Supports Value Creation and Sustainable Solutions objectives within offshore design.
  • Ensures effective multi‑office workshare execution and interface coordination.
  • Reviews Project Control Reports and proactively addresses offshore‑specific performance risks.
  • Promotes Value Creation and Sustainable Solutions aligned with offshore design objectives.

Communication & Collaboration

  • Prepares and supports technical reports, progress updates, and presentations for offshore projects.
  • Communicates clearly with discipline engineers, project controls, and construction teams.
  • Supports technical coordination with clients under guidance of the Project / Principal Engineer.
  • Promotes collaboration across disciplines and locations.
  • Supports resolution of technical and execution issues within assigned scope.

Customer & Stakeholder Interaction

  • Supports day to day interaction with ADNOC and offshore stakeholders for allocated scope.
  • Understands customer KPIs and delivery expectations.
  • Maintains professional working relationships aligned with communication protocols.
  • Interfaces with vendors and contractors to support offshore engineering delivery.

Risk & Opportunity Management

  • Identifies offshore engineering risks within assigned scope and supports mitigation plans.
  • Ensures discipline risks are captured and maintained in the project risk register.
  • Supports monitoring of risks and opportunities through regular project reviews.

Experience Profile (Senior Level)

  • Strong experience in offshore detailed engineering projects.
  • Proven exposure to wellhead platforms and topside facilities.
  • Experience working on multi office offshore projects.
  • ADNOC or equivalent offshore oil & gas project experience preferred.

Qualifications & Job Specific Knowledge

  • University degree in Engineering or equivalent experience, with professional registration in local jurisdiction.
  • Professional registration and/or Project Management certification (IPMA, APM, PMI, AIPM) preferred.
  • Solid experience in Offshore EPCM / EPC projects, including offshore detailed engineering.
  • Experience working in multi cultural and multi national environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Worley Management Systems, engineering processes, and tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access and Visio.
  • Good understanding of offshore engineering interfaces with procurement, construction, hook up, and commissioning.

Decision Making

  • Makes sound technical decisions for assigned offshore scope within established guidelines.
  • Considers HSE, technical integrity, schedule, and cost impacts when recommending actions.
  • Escalates commercial, contractual, or high risk decisions appropriately.
  • Evaluates options and provides recommendations to Project / Principal Engineer.

Supervision Received

  • Works with moderate autonomy, receiving direction aligned to defined project objectives.
  • Assignments are reviewed for technical adequacy, compliance, and coordination.
  • Interfaces regularly with Project and Principal Engineers for alignment and guidance.

Supervision Authority

  • Provides technical guidance to engineers and designers within assigned scope.
  • Reviews work for technical accuracy and compliance.
  • May support performance feedback and development planning for assigned team members.
  • No direct pay or disciplinary authority; recommendations provided to line management.
