We are seeking a Senior Project Control Engineer to join our Construction Supervision team for a major Utilities and Infrastructure project in Abu Dhabi. The role involves managing cost, schedule, and progress control activities to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of the project in line with client requirements and project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Planning & Scheduling:
  • Develop, update, and maintain the project master schedule using Primavera P6.
  • Review contractors’ baseline programs and progress updates to ensure compliance with project milestones and contractual requirements.
  • Analyze critical paths and constraints to determine the effect of changes on schedule and recommend corrective actions.
  • Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
  • Track project progress and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for internal and client review.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for cost and schedule performance.
  • Evaluate contractors’ progress claims and support in progress certification.
  • Cost Control & Budget Management:
  • Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure alignment with approved financial plans.
  • Assist in cost forecasting, variance analysis, and earned value management (EVM).
  • Review and validate contractors’ invoices, variations, and claims from a cost and time perspective.
  • Coordination & Communication:
  • Interface with project managers, discipline engineers, and client representatives to provide accurate project control data.
  • Support risk management and change control processes by providing time and cost impact assessments.
  • Ensure proper documentation and version control of all project control deliverables.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in project controls within construction supervision of infrastructure and utilities projects (roads, sewerage, stormwater, potable water, irrigation, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Excel, and other project control tools.
  • Strong knowledge of cost control principles, earned value analysis, and reporting techniques.
  • Experience working with major consultants or supervision teams in the UAE or GCC region preferred.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
