Senior Methods Engineer

Job Description

• Responsible for a Preparation and developing of installation procedures, methodologies, anchor patterns for various projects. May work on a number of projects at any one time and may require going offshore or attend certain meetings with clients out station.
• Co-ordination with various departments, offshore spreads and the whenever necessary with the clients/MWS to prepare/ finalize installation methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Installation Engineering Packages including Installation Procedures, conceptual design of construction aids whenever required, installation methodologies.
• Review of Client’s comments on Installation Procedures, updating of Procedures, review of closeout report and feedback from barges to improve the procedure for future works.
• Preparation of Engineering Service Requests giving complete details, schemes and design basis for Engineering to design Construction Aids for various offshore installation projects.
• Preparation of Installation Procedures/Methods and installation sketches for specialized offshore activities during tender stage in consultation with LME.
• Preparation of conceptual drawings and methods for barges modification and upgrading.
• Preparation of anchor patterns for construction barges and work vessels for various offshore installation works as per project requirement in consultation with the senior methods engineer.
• Preparation of department general-purpose manuals and procedures for reference by operation personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Preferably in Mechanical, Civil or Naval.
• 6 years’ experience in offshore construction.
• Good negotiation and decision making skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Thorough understanding of offshore Construction activities /offshore operations.
