The Senior Manager Procurement is responsible for leading and optimizing all procurement activities across the organization to ensure cost-effective, timely, and compliant sourcing of materials and services that support aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul operations as well as commercial sourcing activities. The role ensures the development and execution of procurement strategies that align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and supply chain excellence goals. The Senior Manager Procurement will drive supplier performance, strategic sourcing initiatives, and continuous improvement across the procurement function.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and monitor procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to support operational efficiency and cost optimization
  • Oversee the Technical, Commercial, and Strategic Procurement teams to ensure alignment with corporate and departmental objectives.
  • Lead supplier negotiations and establish long-term agreements to secure competitive terms, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation regulatory requirements, corporate governance standards, and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Drive supplier performance management, including audits, evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Material Planning, Engineering, Finance, and Operations teams to forecast procurement needs
  • Manage procurement budgets, monitor spend analytics, and deliver savings and value improvements across categories.
  • Develop and mentor team members, promoting a high-performance, results-oriented culture.
  • Identify and implement digital tools and process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and data visibility.
  • Support the Senior Director – Supply Chain in strategic decision-making, risk management, and organizational development initiatives.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Aviation Management, or Business Administration.
  • Master’s Degree or MBA preferred
  • Professional certification (CIPS, CPSM, PMP) is a strong advantage.
  • High proficiency in English/Business correspondence required
  • Minimum of 10–12 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Proven experience developing procurement policies and implementing governance frameworks.
  • Proven track record in aviation, aerospace, or MRO industries is essential.
  • In-depth understanding of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and contract law principles.
  • Technical knowledge of MRO materials, components, and service contracts.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good computer presentation and reporting skills essential
  • Familiarity with audit, risk management, and compliance processes in a corporate procurement setting.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle) and procurement reporting tools.
