Role Description
The Senior Finance Manager – Technology & Innovation Cluster is responsible to oversee the financial activities of the Cluster and be the representative to EDGE Group, it will be directly involved in different finance topics from project finance management to monthly financial report and planning.
This position will work closely with cross-functional teams outside the Finance domain such as Engineering, Program Management, Procurement and CTO office.
Prepare and analyze quarterly forecasts of the company
Prepare monthly cash flow forecast for projects
Understanding of Financial Planning related to R&D/Engineering projects in a high-tech environment
Responsible to prepare monthly financial results and provide recommendations
Present monthly status reports to EDGE Group as necessary, while understanding the crucial differences between Forecast/Budget vs. Actual
Project Finance and Reporting
Prepare monthly actual vs budget variances status reports (cost, revenue and P&L) and other related project planning and controls documentation for the CFO and Management of the company
Monthly submission of Project profitability report to the management
Build use/business cases and financial analysis to support the development of a new product/solution to the market
Prepare Product Investment business plans/cases, feasibility & market studies to support the company’s overall strategy and future product developments
Understand budgeted cost basis for each project and monitor/control as per the project progress
Work closely with program managers, directors, and division SVPs/VPs in analyzing development costs, revenue, and profitability by project
Track resources utilization by project/function
Governance and Compliance
Manage the External Auditor relationship, ensuring compliancewith EDGE Group Accounting Policy and IFRS accounting standards
Support to EDGE Internal Audit team when it comes to the yearly Internal Audit Plan
Adherence and application of EDGE Group Delegation of Authority
Experience And Education Qualification
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, corporate finance, engineering or related field
5 -10 years of progressively responsible experience in finance function/positions coupled with experience in management or consulting practices
Understanding of IFRS 15 – Revenue Recognition and IAS 38 – Intangible Assets
Competencies:
Strong business modelling & advanced analytics skills to handle complex financial and data models
Strong business intelligence & corporate development skills
Ability to be exact, thorough, and attentive to detail, while still meeting deadlines
Ability to lead teams and work under pressure and short deadlines
Excellent problem solving, diagnosis and analytical skills
Possession of very strong sense of ownership and problem solving/solutioning in complex situations with several stakeholders
Thoughtful financial modeling capabilities, including financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow), financial modeling, budgeting (short-term planning), business planning (long-term planning).
Understanding of how information on early business indicators can be quickly developed to support decision making, steering/adjusting course and target achievement
Strong systems aptitude and proficiency, including expert Excel and Power BI skills
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously with superior attention to detail
Exceptional communication skills with ability to present analysis and findings in both verbal and written formats to all levels of management
Knowledge of ERP implementation and driving results, objectives and projects to completion
