Job Summary
APCO is seeking a Senior Editorial and Strategic Content Lead to support a high-profile government client in the UAE on an external consultant contract. This senior-level role will oversee the development of strategic content and executive communications, ensuring high-quality, consistent, and impactful editorial outputs across key platforms and stakeholder communications.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of editorial and written communications outputs.
- Oversee speeches, op-eds, talking points, press releases, and executive messaging.
- Develop and maintain strategic messaging frameworks and fact banks.
- Ensure editorial consistency across all client communications and channels.
- Lead the development of long-form content, success stories, and strategic narratives.
- Coordinate stakeholder messaging and content approvals.
- Support leadership positioning through thought leadership initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in editorial, content, strategic communications, journalism, or a related field.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Experience developing executive communications and leadership content.
- Strong stakeholder management and strategic messaging capabilities.
- Government or public sector experience is preferred.
- Full professional fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken, is required.
Working Arrangement
- This role requires the consultant to commute to the client’s office in Abu Dhabi at least 3 days per week.
- Additional presence may be required based on client needs, leadership priorities, campaigns, or key events.
- The consultant must remain flexible and available during major communication periods and priority deliverables.
