Job Title: Consultant

Location: Abu Dhabi

The job

The Consultant engineer is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of existing dashboard implementations. This highly technical and hands-on position requires the candidate to work in a team and as an individual, contributing to all aspects of system upkeep, including design, needs analysis, design review, testing, implementation, and validation. The Consultant engineers must be self-starters and have the ability to work independently with little supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform data gap analysis and assess digital coverage across the entire Oil & Gas value chain, from upstream to downstream.
  • Support and troubleshoot AVEVA and PI System solutions to ensure reliable performance in production environments.
  • Design and build dashboards and reports using Power BI, AVEVA PIVISION, and System Platform (OMI), focused on energy management and production diagnostics.
  • Collaborate with customer, technical support, and product R&D teams to resolve issues, propose system improvements, and align with operational goals.
  • Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer workshops to help clients maximize system usage and gain actionable insights.

Essential Requirements

  • Upkeep, maintenance and modifications to an existing large scale implementation of PI, AF , and dashboards.
  • Work closely with other projects teams and sales to understand and their requirements, and offer support to them.
  • Develop work plans and estimates to manage tasks and assignments
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend systems/equipment/technologies based upon client needs
  • Draft technical instructions, engineering plans, technical designs, and other related documents
  • Interface with various team members such as management, administration, legal, and support staff on a regular basis
  • Develop and conduct testing plans and procedures based upon system recommendations
  • Provide client with post-installation support

Desired Skills

Consultant engineering positions is highly technical in nature. The successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, computer engineering, or computer science, with at least 5 years of work experience in Wonderware or similar applications.
