JOB PURPOSE:

Provide advanced technical support, engineering analysis, and expertise for frac operations, ensuring optimal well delivery, problem resolution, and the application of best practices and innovative solutions. Collaborate with operations teams, developing technical programs, and optimizing drilling performance while adhering to safety and quality standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Job Specific Accountabilities

  • Provide advanced technical support and guidance for frac operations, including well planning, execution, and post-job analysis, to ensure safe and efficient delivery of wells.
  • Conduct detailed engineering studies and simulations to optimize frac programs, mud systems, hydraulics, casing design, and other drilling parameters, ensuring alignment with ADNOC Drilling’s standards and objectives.
  • Analyze and interpret drilling data to identify performance gaps, drilling hazards, and non-productive time (NPT) events, and recommend corrective actions and improvement strategies.
  • Develop and review detailed technical documents, including well programs, risk assessments, contingency plans, and procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with frac operations teams, subsurface teams, and service providers to ensure technical support is provided for well planning, drilling optimization, and troubleshooting activities.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies, tools, and techniques to enhance frac performance, reduce costs, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead technical audits, peer reviews, and post-drilling reviews to capture lessons learned, best practices, and areas for improvement.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers and technical staff, providing guidance on frac engineering principles, software tools, and technical problem-solving.
  • Ensure adherence to ADNOC Drilling’s health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in all technical support activities, promoting a safety-focused culture.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, presentations, and performance updates to management, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent).

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

  • Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Computer awareness in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel programmes.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
