Job Specific Accountabilities (Part 1)

About the Role:

Provides expertise for the development and implementation of Quality Management requirements on assigned projects. Ensures that the project quality systems meet the requirements of ISO 9000 series and company policies to achieve compliance with agreement, technical integrity and fit for purpose in overall engineering, materials, equipment and constructions.

  • Reviews and develops quality specific requirements to be assured by contractors and PMC during design, development, construction and commissioning and ensure preventing non-conformity at all stages of the project.
  • Review contractors’ QA/QC plans and procedures as well as inspection, testing procedure and plans to ensure the compatibility of the design, construction with company requirements.
  • Monitors implementation of QA/QC activities throughout the projects phases to initiate preventive action and application of effective control.
  • Participates in developing company strategy related to vendor and field inspection and selection of TPI agency to ensure that the quality of critical equipment and material are within company specified acceptance criteria.
  • Reviews and monitors the performance of PMC control on TPI agencies and prepares feedback on area of concern for appropriate remedial action to ensure the adequacy of utilization and control of TPI resources.
  • Handles technical and compliance audit, PMT/audit team and arranges interview and visits for physical verification to ensure that the company quality requirements are established, implemented and evaluated.
  • Reviews contractors’ internal / external audit programme. Participates in Contractors audit and provides an independent assessment of audit effectiveness.

Supervision

  • Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
  • Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.

Budgets

  • Provide input for preparation of the Department/ Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives.
  • Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

  • Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Department / Section’s work programs in line with Company and International standards.
  • Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

Performance Management

  • Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

  • Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
  • Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

  • Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices

Reports

  • Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management

Minimum Qualification

Qualification & Experience:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Civil or equivalent Engineering Discipline.

6 years of experience, including experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC).
