Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Manage the review, design, and implementation of cost-effective maintenance improvement programs in the division, support the development of maintenance policies, standards, processes and systems across maintenance departments and manage a division-wise centre of excellence to assure company assets are effectively and efficiently maintained throughout their asset lifecycle.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure that the company’s maintenance policy, framework and standards are updated and continually improved to establish consistent approaches which deliver improved efficiency and effectiveness across all assets, thereby contributing to the company objectives in safety, integrity, and reliability.
  • Lead the division-wide programs to implement sustainable improvements of maintenance activities to ensure compliance with company standards throughout the asset lifecycle, ensure effectiveness, optimize downtime, and provide performance visibility.
  • Introduce processes to consolidate and continually evaluate maintenance costs against benchmarks to actively reduce spend while achieving company objectives.
  • Support the development and implementation of appropriate division policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures, and internal controls for the execution of division’s work programs in line with company guidelines and international standards. Performance Monitoring and Management
  • Establish a coherent, accurate reporting system for the maintenance performance and related processes to provide basis for management decision.
  • Develop the division Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and ensure proper cascade of performance objectives within the division and establish monitoring mechanisms to ensure delivery of these objectives and promote a performance driven culture.
  • Lead the implementation of the performance management system for individuals within the maintenance division in accordance with company approved guidelines.

Maintenance & Operational Plans and Systems

  • Develop consistent and realistic long-and short-term operational plans for the division in line with the group objectives and manage implementation to ensure they are effectively converted into its performance levels to realize objectives and targets.
  • Lead the development and improvement of the division’s maintenance management systems to maximize the efficiency of the business process they support and to enable the proactive management of maintenance tactics.
  • Ensure thatthe maintenance management system has adequate performance, contains quality data and is effectively used, to enable the management processes.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of internal technical trainings to improve the level of competency in the division required as per business requirements
  • Support and align audit exercises and ensure the timely completion of maintenance actions. Community and Networks
  • Establish effective networks of internal stakeholders (e.g. process owners and subject matter experts) and maximize the benefit to the company
  • Promote a proactive initiative towards maintenance excellence, challenging entrenched practices to align with standardized world class industrial practices.
  • Assist in the development and training of UAE Nationals. Budget and Cost Control (CAPEX and OPEX)
  • Coordinate the division’s annual budget in line with business objectives and operational plans ensuring that adequate funding provision is made for all maintenance division activities.
  • Monitor expenditure against approved department budget on a regular basis, investigate, highlight, and reconcile any significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent Technical Qualification Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills
  • 8 years of experience in Maintenance in an Oil & Gas industry, including 4 years of engineering experience
  • Knowledge on CMMS – SAP eAM, Business Analytics and related software
  • Knowledge in maintenance auditing, and inspection
  • Mastery of methods, systems and techniques relevant to maintenance excellence
  • Knowledge of applicable and relevant standards and industry best practices
  • Management skills related to the functional domain and disciplines
  • Sound knowledge of HSE principles and their application relevant to Oil & Gas industry
