Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Engineer - Electromechanical to join our engineering team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and optimization of complex electromechanical systems while providing technical expertise and mentorship to junior engineering staff. You will be responsible for ensuring that all projects meet rigorous quality standards, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency objectives.
- Design and develop electromechanical systems and components using advanced CAD software and simulation tools, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications
- Conduct detailed technical analysis and feasibility studies for new projects, identifying potential challenges and proposing innovative solutions
- Oversee the integration of mechanical and electrical systems, managing interfaces and ensuring seamless functionality across all components
- Lead cross-functional teams through project lifecycle phases, from concept and design through testing, validation, and deployment
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, assembly instructions, and maintenance procedures
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on system failures, implementing corrective actions and preventive measures
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers, providing guidance on best practices, technical standards, and professional development
- Ensure all designs and implementations comply with relevant regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Conduct design reviews, testing protocols, and quality inspections to verify system performance and reliability
Qualifications
**Required Qualifications:**
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in electromechanical engineering or related technical field
- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of electromechanical systems design, mechanical engineering principles, and electrical integration
- Demonstrated expertise in project management and technical leadership
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with control systems, automation, and PLC fundamentals
- Proficiency in technical documentation and specifications development
- Knowledge of quality assurance, testing protocols, and regulatory compliance standards
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Advanced experience with simulation and modeling tools (MATLAB, ANSYS, or similar)
- Background in HVAC systems, industrial automation, or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with ISO standards and industry-specific certifications
- Experience mentoring and developing engineering teams
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience with embedded systems or advanced control applications
