Senior Data Engineer

Role SummaryThe Senior Data Engineer plays a critical role in enabling the Data Team to achieve its core OKRs, with a strong focus on Data Governance, building a unified Financial Data Warehouse (DWH), and supporting financial risk and reporting needs. This role owns the design, quality, and reliability of core financial data assets, ensuring scalable, high-performance data foundations and a trusted Single Source of Truth (SSOT) for business-critical KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Warehouse Architecture & Modeling Design and drive the architecture of the Financial Data Warehouse, including core dimensional models across key domains such as users, orders, repayments, and risk features, ensuring scalability, stability, and performance.
• Single Source of Truth (SSOT) Ownership Lead the implementation and maintenance of a Single Source of Truth for critical business and financial KPIs across all products and stakeholders.
• Data Quality & Reliability Establish and maintain robust data quality frameworks, including automated and manual validation, monitoring, and alerting for critical financial fact tables and risk-related datasets.
• Data Governance Enablement Build and operationalize data governance practices, including metadata management, data standards, and quality methodologies, to support consistent and compliant data usage.
  
  

• Senior Data Engineering Experience 5+ years of hands-on experience in big data platform development and maintenance, with strong proficiency in technologies such as Hive, Spark, and Flink, and deep expertise in DWH modeling, ETL design, and performance optimization.
• Data Governance Expertise Proven experience building a data governance system from the ground up, including practical use of metadata management tools and formal data quality frameworks.
• Financial Services Domain Expertise (Mandatory) Extensive data experience within financial services, credit, payments, or risk control domains, with a strong understanding of financial business processes and data models related to loan origination, repayment, delinquency management, and risk feature engineering.
