Job Description

We are looking for an analytical and experienced Senior Buyer to join our procurement team and lead the charge in strategizing and negotiating acquisitions that align with our company’s objectives. In this role, the Senior Buyer will be responsible for developing effective procurement strategies, maintaining positive relationships with suppliers, and ensuring the quality and cost-effectiveness of products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to perform complex analyses of market trends to make informed purchasing decisions. Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic procurement plans that align with organizational goals and financial targets.
  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and product improvements.
  • Negotiate contracts and arrangements with suppliers to secure the best possible terms.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners to enhance collaboration.
  • Monitor procurement processes to ensure compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to innovate and enhance purchasing operations and performance.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvements to enhance service quality.
  • Develop quantitative and qualitative reports to inform strategic purchasing decisions.
  • Identify risks in supply chains and work to mitigate disruptions effectively.
  • Assist in budget preparation by forecasting purchasing needs and cost projections.
  • Train and mentor junior procurement staff to improve department capabilities.
  • Participate in vendor audits to ensure compliance and quality standards are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
  • Proven negotiation skills with a track record of achieving cost-effective deals.
  • Strong understanding of market analysis and supply chain management principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data effectively.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
