About The Role

The Senior Bid Manager will be responsible for managing the bid lifecycle, from identifying relevant Edtech RFPs locally and regionally to developing winning proposals. This role will focus on driving new business opportunities in collaboration with the B2G team and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Alef Education’s strategic objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Bid Management and Proposal Development

  • Lead the end-to-end bid process for Edtech RFPs, ensuring timely and high-quality submission of bids
  • Identify, evaluate, and track relevant tenders and RFPs using RFP SaaS, procurement platforms and market research tools
  • Work closely with the B2G team to align proposal strategies with government procurement requirements and business needs
  • Develop compelling proposal narratives that articulate Alef Education’s value proposition, technical solutions, and alignment with customer needs
  • Manage the proposal creation process by collaborating with internal teams (product, legal, finance, marketing) and external partners to ensure proposals are comprehensive, compliant, and competitive
  • Ensure consistency in the tone, format, and content of proposals, adhering to Alef Education’s branding guidelines


Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, legal, and finance, to gather necessary inputs for proposals
  • Collaborate with the B2G sales team to tailor proposals that address specific governmental needs and challenges
  • Maintain clear communication with all internal stakeholders, keeping them informed on the progress of bids and proposals


Market Intelligence and RFP Strategy

  • Conduct in-depth research on government procurement trends in K-12 education and track competitor activities
  • Identify new opportunities and market trends to position Alef Education as a leader in educational technology for government customers
  • Continuously improve the bid strategy by analyzing win/loss data and providing feedback to relevant teams


Governance and Compliance

  • Ensure all proposals are compliant with customer requirements, governmental regulations, and Alef Education’s internal policies
  • Manage risks by identifying potential gaps or issues in proposal content and resolving them in a timely manner
  • Maintain a repository of best practices, proposal templates, and lessons learned to support future bids


Reporting and Analytics

  • Monitor and report on bid progress, success rates, and overall proposal effectiveness to senior management
  • Develop dashboards and reports that provide insights into the success of RFPs, tendering processes, and partnership outcomes using Alef’s Sales CRM


To Be The Right Fit, Youll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in bid management or a similar role, preferably within the K-12 Edtech sector and/or government sales
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder proposals for government tenders and RFPs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create persuasive proposals in both English and Arabic and PowerPoint format.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Solid understanding of K-12 education technology and government procurement processes
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel as required for business development and bid-related activities
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
