As a senior member of the team, you will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, driving best practices and continuously improving our development processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and systems using Python.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability to meet user demand.
• Implement robust security and data protection solutions for backend systems.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers and junior developers.
• Identify and troubleshoot complex issues arising in production environments.
• Continuously contribute to the improvement of software development practices and processes.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to support frontend and mobile applications.
• Work closely with product teams to define technical specifications from business requirements.
• Mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
• Participate in agile development teams, contributing to daily stand-ups and planning sessions.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and apply them to enhance our applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in backend development using Python.
• Strong understanding of server-side scripting and backend architecture.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining RESTful APIs in production environments.
• Experience with database systems, both SQL and NoSQL, for data management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for deployment and scaling.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
