We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer specialized in Python to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining server-side components of our web applications, ensuring optimal performance, and building high-quality solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, while also working closely with frontend developers to integrate with their outputs seamlessly. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in backend engineering, with a focus on Python and its frameworks, and possess the ability to solve complex problems creatively. Your contribution will be key in ensuring the scalability and reliability of our systems as we grow and adapt in an ever-evolving tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems using Python.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability across multiple platforms.
• Develop high-quality code that is maintainable, efficient, and follows industry standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software as necessary to improve performance.
• Implement data protection, security protocols, and privacy best practices.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions to build efficient and adaptable systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide them in their career development journeys.
• Ensure high quality and timely delivery of software releases and projects.
• Work closely with other engineers and product managers to deliver innovative solutions.
• Continuously assess and adopt new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of solutions and update it as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline preferred.
• Proven experience as a backend engineer with a focus on Python for at least 5 years.
• Strong understanding of server-side programming and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI is preferred.
• Solid understanding of database technologies both SQL and NoSQL types.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think algorithmically.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written are necessary.
