Platform Overview:
Real Assets Platform deploys capital into physical assets around the world that offer long-term stable returns. We are enabling the transformation of economies through our investments, while providing Mubadala with long-term stable financial returns across business cycles.
What you will do:
As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in both investment execution and asset management across a dedicated portfolio of U.S. or Europe real estate assets. You will work closely with the deal team to support transactions from origination through closing, while also taking responsibility for ongoing portfolio performance.
Support the full transaction lifecycle, including underwriting, due diligence, structuring, and closing of new investments.
Screen potential opportunities and prepare investment memorandum
Take ownership of day-to-day asset management for select properties, and partner with senior team members on larger, more complex investments.
Review and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial models, investment memos, and reporting prepared by Analysts.
Prepare Investment Committee materials
Build and maintain relationships within the U.S. or Europe real estate community by attending industry conferences, networking events, and relevant trade associations.
Recommend improvements to internal processes, tools, and policies to enhance investment decision-making and portfolio oversight.
Drive operational efficiency by applying best practices from U.S. and global real estate investment management.
Manage key workstreams during due diligence
Conduct market search to identify sector and market trends
What will you bring:
To succeed within this role, you will be bringing a strong mix of practical experience, technical skills and business skills, including the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field
Master’s degree from a top-tier international institution or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA, CAIA) is preferred
Do you have 6 – 9 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or private equity, specifically with expertise in real estate financial modelling, valuation, investment analysis, or asset management?
Proven experience in real estate investment focused on the Americas market or European market
Proven ability to coach and manage junior team members (Analysts/Senior Analysts)
Deep understanding of the assigned sector, including how companies create value and operate, with the ability to contribute to business planning and performance improvement initiatives
Strong foundation in financial and accounting principles, with the ability to interpret and analyse complex financial data
Skilled in analysing financial statements (P&L, cash flow, balance sheets) to assess performance, build valuation models, and conduct ratio analysis
Confident in representing the team in external meetings and negotiations with stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple workstreams
Able to synthesize data and analysis into clear insights and actionable recommendations
Experienced in preparing concise summaries for board or committee discussions and presenting effectively to senior leadership and external parties
Proficient in building complex, error-free financial models independently
Working knowledge of deal execution processes including tax, legal, financing, and M&A
Able to anticipate and escalate issues appropriately and lead financial discussions within deal teams
Demonstrated ability to manage deal-related workstreams and perform under pressure with minimal supervision
Strong commercial acumen and track record in evaluating businesses and investment opportunities
Skilled in developing clear, structured narratives for complex documents such as investment business cases
Experience leading initiatives with measurable financial or operational impact in collaboration with business functions
Experience working in fast paced environments
