Senior Architectural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior Architectural Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience to join our team in the Engineering Consultation Center at the United Arab Emirates University. The ideal candidate must possess exceptional design talent, technical proficiency in producing detailed working drawings, and advanced high-end rendering capabilities. You will be responsible for leading projects from initial concept through to final authority approval and site execution. Key Responsibilities

• Architectural Design: Lead the conceptualization and development of innovative, functional, and aesthetically striking architectural designs for various project types.
• Technical Documentation: Produce and review comprehensive sets of working drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications, ensuring they are construction-ready and meet international standards.
• Visualization & Rendering: Create high-quality 3D models and photorealistic renderings to effectively communicate design intent to clients and stakeholders.
• Authority Liaison: Manage the entire submission and approval process through the TAMM portal and ensure full compliance with Abu Dhabi Municipality (DMT) and Abu Dhabi Civil Defense (ADCD) regulations.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate with structural, MEP, and site teams to ensure seamless integration of architectural elements throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Quality Control: Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure works are executed in strict adherence to approved designs and quality standards.
  
  

Minimum Qualification

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of proven experience in architectural design and engineering.
• Licensing: Must hold a valid Engineer License from the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT).
• Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit (BIM), etc., and industry-standard rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Lumion, 3ds Max).
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UAE building codes, sustainability standards (Estidama), and construction practices.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to manage junior design staff.
• Language: Fluent speaking and writing in English.
  
  

Preferred Qualification

• Experience: preferably within a consultancy environment in the UAE.
• AI: Mastering of AI Rendering Applications.
• Language: Fluent speaking and writing in Arabic.
