Senior Architect (Buildings)

Abu Dhabi, UAE

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to join our engineering team in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will support both pre and post-construction award stages of our diverse project portfolio. You will be instrumental in conducting architectural studies, developing design concepts, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

What Youll Be Doing

• Conduct architectural studies and develop design concepts and criteria.
• Prepare and review CAD drawings, renderings, layouts, study models, construction documents, and color boards.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Write construction specifications and prepare detailed requisitions for equipment and materials.
• Interface with suppliers as required.
• Coordinate work with engineering and construction units at project sites.
• Review, approve, and issue detailed design and construction drawings and specifications prepared by others.
• Provide the seal and signature of a professional architect when required by statute or contract.
• Provide technical guidance to Architectural Designer/Drafters working on the same project.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
  
  
  

What Required Skills Youll Bring

• Bachelors degree in Architecture from a reputable university.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial buildings/ports projects in the UAE.
• Experience in conceptual design (high-level development, optioneering).
• Experience in construction environments.
• Proficiency in the application of architectural design standards, practices, and techniques.
• Demonstrated proficiency in sketching, rendering, model building, and presentation drawing.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Proficiency in Revit or other software packages typically associated with architectural design.
• Acumen for reviewing designs and construction plans to meet codes, budgets, and schedules.
