We are looking for a Senior Analytics Specialist to join our Enterprise Analytics team in Abu Dhabi. This is a hands-on analytical role for someone who enjoys getting into complex datasets, solving difficult business problems, and turning analysis into insights that can influence real commercial decisions.

You’ll work with Analytics Managers and Business Engagement Partners on some of the highest-value questions facing the business, using Etihad’s enterprise data and analytical toolkit to uncover trends, investigate root causes, identify opportunities, and help stakeholders understand what the data is telling us.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have developed their careers in data science, advanced analytics, commercial analytics, or similar data-intensive environments and want to apply those capabilities to complex, real-world business challenges.

What you’ll do

• Tackle complex business questions, translating requirements into structured analytical approaches and solutions.
• Conduct advanced and ad-hoc analysis across large and varied datasets, going beyond the initial question to identify underlying drivers, patterns, and opportunities.
• Apply analytical and data science techniques to generate meaningful insights and support better business decision-making.
• Turn complex analysis into clear visualizations and concise insights that can be understood and acted upon by business stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring analysis and improve the efficiency, scalability, and quality of analytical solutions.
• Build deep expertise in Etihad’s enterprise data, analytical tools, and methodologies.
• Develop specialist knowledge in one or more analytical disciplines, becoming a trusted subject-matter expert within the wider analytics community.
• Maintain clear documentation of analytical methodologies and solutions to support consistency and knowledge sharing.
• Share your expertise with colleagues and support the development of more junior analysts through coaching and technical guidance.
  
  

What we’re looking for

You’ll be someone who combines strong technical and analytical capability with genuine commercial curiosity. You don’t simply produce analysis — you want to understand why something happened, what the data means, and what the business should investigate next.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, ideally in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Operations Research, Business Analytics, or another quantitative discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or significant equivalent experience with another qualification.
• Experience in data science, advanced analytics, business analytics, commercial analytics, or a similarly quantitative role.
• Strong experience working with complex datasets and using analytical techniques to identify patterns, drivers, trends, and root causes.
• Strong capability with analytical, database, and data visualization tools. Experience with technologies such as SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau or similar tools would be highly relevant.
• An ability to move comfortably between detailed technical analysis and the broader commercial question behind it.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the curiosity to explore beyond the obvious answer.
• The ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A collaborative mindset and an interest in sharing knowledge and developing others.

Airline experience is not essential. We are interested in strong analytical talent from industries where large datasets, complex commercial questions, customer behavior, forecasting, optimization, or data-driven decision-making are central to the business.

Recruitment Process

The recruitment process for this position will involve the following steps:

1. All applications will be reviewed by a human-member of our Recruitment Team
2. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to completed a recorded video interview via our third-party platform HireVue. This interview will allow you to record your responses to a range of questions related to the position and will allow you to demonstrate your knowledge and experience in a way that just your CV alone would not be able to. It also ensures fairness for you and all candidates, as all of our shortlisted candidates are asked the same questions and assessed on their responses.
3. After a review of completed video interviews, shortlisted candidates will be invited to an initial technical interview with the hiring manager.
4. Finalists will be invited to a follow up meeting with additional members of the hiring team. This interview will include the completion of a job-related case study and presentation to the hiring team.
5. All candidates will be notified as to the status of their application as soon as is possible.
