The Senior Accountant - General Ledger is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. The role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments, supporting timely month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close.
• Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, resolving variances and maintaining strong financial controls.
• Support preparation of management reports, financial statements, and statutory reporting in line with IFRS and regulatory requirements.
• Act as a key liaison for internal and external audits, preparing schedules, documentation, and explanations as required.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional finance teams (AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Treasury, FP&A) to ensure accurate postings and intercompany reconciliations.
• Utilize and support ERP systems (Oracle Fusion), contributing to process improvements, automation initiatives, and master data governance.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA).
• 7+ years of relevant accounting experience, with strong exposure to general ledger functions.
• Experience in a large organization, Healthcare industry, is an advantage.
• Well-versed in IFRS and financial reporting standards.
