Job Overview

The Sheikh Zayed Private Academy for Girls (SZPAG) is looking to appoint a School Nurse for our Early Childhood phase. The School Nurse will be responsible for the health, hygiene, and well-being of students of the school, in compliance with regulations and ruling of the Ministry of Health, Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DOH}, and Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).

Core Responsibilities And Expectations

• Assess student and staff health issues, provide first aid and immediate nursing care, and administer medications as per DOH guidelines.
• Plan and implement the school health screening programs and vaccination program as per the regulatory authority.
• Ensure that students and parents adhere to and are well informed of screening and immunization program as per school policy & regulatory authority guidelines.
• Develop and manage individualized healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions and special need students.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students & staff
• Respond to medical emergencies and situations, acting quickly and calmly to provide care.
• Work to maintain a safe and healthy school environment, identify health hazards, and ensure compliance with health policies.
• Refer accidents or illness to hospital in an emergency and inform the parents and school authorities as per the school policy.
• Report incident, illness, and communicable diseases in accordance with DOH and ADEK regulations.
• Be present for all students related activities on school campus.
• Monitor the maintenance of cleanliness and hygiene within the school as required. Educate students and staff on health-related topics and promote healthy lifestyle choices.

Position Requirements: (please only apply if you meet the below criteria)

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject
• Valid license from DOH (Department of Health, Abu Dhabi)
• Minimum of five years’ experience in an international school or equivalent educational setting.
• Skills in providing first aid, administering medications, conducting health screenings, managing student health records.
