Overview Of The Role:

The Retail Sales Representative Showroom is responsible for establishing rapport and credibility with customers to assist in purchasing IKEA's product range while maintaining high merchandising standards and ensuring product availability. The role demands exceeding sales targets by going the extra mile. Success in this position is measured by sales performance, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company standards, contributing to IKEA's top-of-mind presence in home furnishing solutions. The representative must exhibit flexibility and a deep understanding of the retail environment.

What You Will Do:

• Promote sales by identifying opportunities, solving problems, and suggesting additional purchases to achieve sales targets.
• Suggest improvements for sales strategies, identify slow-moving items, and recommend actions to increase sales.
• Maintain product displays using company-approved merchandising standards.
• Become an expert on the product range within Home Furnishing Business (HFB).
• Stay informed on local market trends by gathering information from customers and competitors.
• Keep updated on changes in the company's product range, including new items or updates on existing items.
• Provide feedback to the Sales Manager regarding customer issues or gaps in the product range.
• Conduct daily inspections of the assigned area to check price labels, product tags, and other communication media.
• Review daily stock levels and recommend orders to the Shopkeeper as needed.
• Coordinate with the Procurement Executive regarding stock levels and availability.
• Support sales operations through multitasking, CRM coverage, and cash office management under pressure.
• Understand and meet diverse customer needs by building trust and confidence.
• Prepare pro forma invoices based on customer requirements.
• Maintain contact with customers about new arrivals or interesting items and follow up on quotations.

What Qualifies You For The Role:

• University Education is preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar retail sales role.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Strong customer focus and initiative in selling practices.
